Tilted Moon
Here are some tilted views of the moon image from 29. March 2004. I applied the technique described in my article: Tilting the Moon
Detail of the high northern region. The big crater at the top in the image above is W. Bond (normal image -> W. Bond), from the earth this area is heavily distorted because of the foreshortening of lunar terrain near the limb.
The heavily cratered southern highland takes center stage in this image, which is tilted 90 degrees north.
When not a the limb, Mare Crisium is circular!
