Comet 17/P Holmes
Another
Picture of Comet
17/P Holmes. After more than two weeks since its
sudden outburst it is still visible to the naked eye and is
an easy astrophotography target from suburban areas.
At the time this picture was taken, Comet Holmes was located
near the Perseus OB association, a loose cluster of bright
stars. The bright start near the comet is alpha Persei (also
called Algenib or Mirfak) |
