B33, the Horsehead
nebula
| The famous Horsehead
nebula B33 is a dark cloud silhouetted against the glowing
hydrogen cloud IC434. The Flame nebula NGC2024 is located
just under the brightest star in the image (Zeta Orionis,
Alnitak). The reflection nebula NGC2023 is located around
the star near the middle of the image. |
