Clavius et. al.

Shortly after the first quarter the crater Clavius begins to emerge from the shadows:

Alphonsus crater is easily recognizable because of it’s dark spots which are a sign of volcanism.

The air has been quite unsteady, therefore the central rille of the Alpine valley is not visible in this shot:

the straight wall looks almost like an artificial feauture:
