To see a Sunrise in the mountains in June, you have to get up early. I set the alarm to 2:50, quickly drank a cup of coffee, drove about 1/2 an hour to Schattenlagant and hiked from there.
I arrived about 30min. befor sunrise, which occured at about 5:30. Thin clouds took out the punch of the sunrise colors (again!) but it was worth the effort!
I took this picture from a pass above the Lünersee in the Rheticon Mountain range, the mountain in the left side of the picture is the "Zimba" |
